Very comfortable.I used to wear compression shorts and then a jogging short over it for modesty and it was so bulky.The material is soft and the compression part does not ride up. The only problem is that I bought one pair that were great but then purchased a 2nd pair and the waistband wasn't as sturdy as the 1st pair and it rolls down periodically. I can live with it though. I am 5'8, 175 and the XL was a good fit. I would recommend these shorts.
