Here's the deal. I bought these mostly because I could tell they would make my feet look smaller. And I loved the aqua blue shoestrings. But these shoes do not fit well. They are stiff and not well padded near the achilles notch. Now I have blister just above my heel where the achilles is located. So, even those these are athletic shoes, I wear them purely for fashion -- and place a bandaid on the spot where it rubs.

These shoes are a little stiff, but overall I am happy with the look and feel. Since they are Adidas, a trusted brand in my experience, I am confident they will be a shoe I rely on.

These shoes are so awesome that after a couple of days of wearing them in a semi-rugged outdoor environment, I got on Zappos and bought another pair to have in waiting. I should've waterproofed them before they got too dirty but I didn't and my feet stayed dry after working outside on a rainy day. My feet are wide and my arch is high and these shoes fit great. Hell of a shoe!
Brands I'd also recommend: Patagonia, Chaco

These shoes were very narrow. They felt like Nikes being so narrow. They are super cute but with a real plastic feel on the tongue of the shoes. They were weird. I am not sure that I would have kept them even if they did fit.
