The Adidas Spezial is a fantastic shoe. It has the whole package - the look, the feel, but not the comfort. It comes with a very narrow base but overall it's awesome. You should get it for the looks.

These shoes are amazing. High arch support. Probably the best sneakers I've ever had, and I wear a lot of sneakers.

I love the Spezial's. They are a nice alternative to the Samba, and come in suede which I prefer. A very light, comfortable shoe - the old school adidas style can't be beat.

I have always loved Adidas Sambas for exercise and general use. But Sambas seem to be made for very narrow feet nowadays. I tried the Spezial -- a very similar design -- for the first time this year and found them more comfortable. Also, I like that these have a darker-colored sole and a shorter tongue.

This is a high quality shoe made with some nice materials. The suede upper is lush, soft but tough, and the gum outer sole is super-flexible. It's got a low profile and a classic look - straight from 1979 as a matter of fact. I've owned Sambas and the Spezial is a superior feel and look, hands down. For a casual, low-profile trainer, the Spezial is a great choice. It just looks and feels awesome. And Zappos service is incredible as usual. I changed my mind about the color after I had submitted the order, called Zappos at 11pm, and had a real person on the line within seconds of calling. She knew exactly how to help me; 36 hours later I had my Spezials, with free, standard shipping no less. Just an awesome experience.
