These shoes are great! The elastic laces are snug enough to keep my son's feet from sliding out and I never have to worry about having to tie them! Oh, and they are very cool.

Really poorly made shoe. I thought it had actual shoelaces, but those are fake. The shoe closes with a velcro strip on the side. The velcro pops off quite easily so the shoe falls off my child's foot anytime he runs. Also, the shoes got very dirty after only a few times of wear.

As an update, the elastic has now ripped after only a few weeks of wear. These are the most poorly made shoes I've ever seen. Do not buy!

Do not buy these shoes. They are adorable, but the velcro does not stay put. They came undone all the time. I returned the shoes with no problem, though. Thanks Zappos!

These are so adorable and I got tons of compliments, but they just didn't hold up to my rough-and-tumble three-year-old. The velcro would come undone and within a couple weeks they looked very worn in the front.

These shoes are adorable, but the velcro isn't as sturdy as we'd like. My little boy is active, active, active, and the velcro comes apart often and there have been many slips and falls.

Great looking shoe and really like the design. Unfortunately, for our active 3 year old, the velcro stood no chance of staying put. He ran out of those shoes continually. Great Zappos CS to help out.

Very happy with these sneakers for our 3 1/2 year-old. He loves that he can put them on himself with the elastic laces and Velcro closure. Price was reasonable, too. The suede hides a lot of the wear/tear on them, and the color isn't too dark. Great for back-to-school.

Was looking for a shoe for our daughter that would be not too girlie and would look good with darker jeans. These fit the bill nicely. Velcro opening makes it easier to get them on or off.

These are adorable. I do agree with the others that the velcro could be a little more secure though. They pop open when my son is walking on occasion.

My son has had no issues with the Velcro. Maybe this is a newer version. We have had them for 3 months, and they have been fantastic. His daycare requires Velcro shoes, and these have stood up better than most.

Shoes are great! They stay on my 18 month old's feet perfectly. He gets lots of compliments wearing them! At least on this green color, the velcro straps are just as pictured. While it's a bit annoying that he's constantly undoing them, they're certainly easier to manage than shoelaces!

These are really cute shoes that seem pretty comfortable for my almost 2 1/2 year old son. We get a lot of compliments on them and he really likes them too. The two velcro straps make them easy to get on. The only drawback is that the sole is fairly thick and doesn't flex much compared to the Nike Free Run (though these are much more durable), so he ends up sort of stomping around, but it hasn't slowed him down at all!
