These are great fitting, super light basketball shoes. I love the profile, and they come in black with white stripes. But patent leather... really?! Why do basketball shoes have to be so tacky? Why can't you get them made with leather? I have learned to accept the fact that if you want upper level basketball shoes, they will scream gaudy/tacky/childish. The stripes are clear with paint on the back. Those will rub off in a week and look shabby. The fit, comfort, and profile outweighs the patent leather bling for me (which all the alternatives have anyway). I ordered two pairs.
