I'm 6'0 170lbs & of average build. I bought these in large because I needed extra protection around my ankles. The large, though they fit, are on the bulky side...they didn't conform to my shin as well as I would have hoped so I traded out for a medium to get the protection I needed with a little sleeker shin guard look. Good product for the price.

With Adidas you can never go wrong, but I want to add that this item is not true to size. I am generally a Medium size in sports shorts, pants and jackets and ordered these in M as well and they're slightly smaller on me. They have already saved my shins several times. Thanks for this awesome item Zappos.
