I liked the look of these shoes so I thought I'd try them despite the single bad review.
I agree that they are just "a little boring" in person, despite the goofy plaid trim (I got black). They remind me a lot of "Chinese slippers".
I was more worried that they'd be uncomfortable, but they're not too bad. The one issue is that the elastic by the toes are just two little strips glued on, so the edge rubs against your foot. That is definitely uncomfortable the first time you wear them, but it wasn't bad enough to make me stop, and after a few days I'm used to it.
The slightly upturned toe, which you can see in the picture, didn't bother me in the slightest.
Overall, they're pretty comfortable when you get used to them, have OK arch support, and look fairly cute as basic black slip-ons. I would buy them again, for the price.

Uncomfy shoes -
A little boring, and very uncomfy. The arch hit my foot in a strange place, and the shoe curves upward at the toe.
